Mir Pace International's Vermont Chapter is a volunteer organization that prepares and sends high school age volunteers to participate in Mir Pace International's IHSM programs. The Chapter provides training and organizes fund raising events throughout the year. The Chapter activities are managed by a volunteer group of high school students and adults who believe in the value of making this type of international service experience available to youth from the Montpelier region. Each April and September, volunteers who have participated in Mir Pace's IHSM programs, are invited to speak about their field experiences at area high schools. Young people and their families interested in learning more about the programs are encouraged to attend any of a series of information meetings that are held at Montpelier High School. People who sign up with the Chapter will begin attending a series of training meetings beginning in late October/early November, and continuing through July.
