Don't have your own boat? Limited number of rental kayaks available on first come, first
served basis, through Nantasket Kayak. Call 781-925-0090 to reserve your kayak. Rentals are also available
at Eastern Mountain Sports, located on Route 3A in Hingham, MA. Call 781-741-8808 and identify
yourself as a Paddle for Poverty participant to receive their very generous discount!

Directions
From north:
Take Southeast Expressway (93) south to Neponset
Exit (Rt. 3A south). Continue on Route 3A, following
signs to Hull/Nantasket through Quincy, Weymouth, Hingham. When you come to rotary in Hingham Harbor, go
straight across rotary and up hill through 2 sets of lights (you will be on George Washington Boulevard and
will go by the Hingham District Courthouse on your right). At third set of lights, take left into Steamboat
Wharf, just past Jake's Seafood Restaurant and across from the Carousel.
From west:
Take Rt. 128 south to Rt. 3 south toward Cape Cod. Get off exit 14 (South Hingham) and take a left on Rt. 228
north. From there follow signs (about 20 minutes) through South Hingham until road opens up onto Nantasket
Beach, with the water being on the right. At the first set on lights (Carousel) take left and go straight
through light into parking area. Steamboat Wharf is located on the bay side of Nantasket Beach next to
Jake's Seafood Restaurant.
From south:
Take Rt. 3 north toward Boston. Get off exit 14 (South Hingham) and take a right on Rt. 228
north. Follow directions above.
Race Courses
Long Race - 3 miles.
Race will begin off Steamboat Pier,
straight out beyond Sunset Point,
around Bumpkin Island, and return
to the finish line at Steamboat Pier.
Short Course
Race will begin off Steamboat Pier,
circle twice around buoys in inner bay, and finish at Steamboat Pier.
Mir Pace International provides worldwide humanitarian relief and development programs,
while fostering cultural understanding and volunteerism through International High School Mission ("IHSM")
programs. Currently, Mir Pace is working in Tamahú, Guatemala and
Tanzania, East Africa. All proceeds from the Paddle for
Poverty will go directly toward our development initiatives in the countries we serve.
